Past Lilly Endowment Community Scholars
2012 Lilly Scholarship Recipients
Alyssa Hudson, daughter of Ronald and Kathleen Hudson of Patoka, is a senior at Princeton Community High School. Hudson has successfully balanced academics, athletics, community service, and school organizations throughout the past four years. She is the Student Council president, National Honor Society president, a member of the FFA, was the sophomore representative for the Spirit Machine, is an active member of the French Club and Impact Club. She is also involved in the Country Boys and Girls 4-H Club, where she was vice president her sophomore year and president her junior year. She is a high school student tutor and free yard sale volunteer. She is part of the Gibson County Jr. Leader Club and the Livestock Club and is a Vacation Bible School volunteer. She is also actively involved in the school’s marching band, pep band, and is in her church choir. She is the captain of the girl’s basketball team, where she varsity lettered all four years and is part of the track and field team. Hudson plans to attend Purdue University and major in Movement and Sports Science.
Lilly Scholarship Alternates
Schyler Curtice, daughter of Stanley and Julie Curtice of Princeton, is also a senior at Princeton Community High School. Throughout the past four years, Curtice has been heavily involved in the community, school activities and athletics while maintaining academic excellence. She is an active member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, French Club, and the Math Academic Team, which she is currently the captain. She also participates in the Key Club, was a library volunteer her sophomore year, and helped with the Feed My Starving Children organization her sophomore year. She has been involved with drama productions at Princeton Community High School and is a middle school theatre mentor, where she is currently the production coordinator. She is also involved in the drama club, is the lights and sound operator, and was part of the innovations show choir her freshman year. She played volleyball her freshman year and has been the volleyball manager for the part three years. She also plans to attend Purdue University and major in Engineering or Science.
